Does Legacy Sensor record students or conversations?
No. Legacy Sensor does not use cameras. Noise monitoring measures decibel levels and gunshot detection analyzes acoustic patterns; neither creates an audio recording or records conversations.
Where can schools place the sensor?
It is designed for restrooms, locker rooms, hallways, and other areas where cameras or audio recording are not appropriate. Final placement should follow your district’s policies and site plan.
What information appears in an alert?
Alerts identify the reporting sensor, assigned location, detection type, and time. Environmental alerts also show the current reading and selected threshold.
Does gunshot detection automatically contact police?
Legacy Sensor alerts your configured contacts. Any response integrations depend on the selected deployment and should be planned alongside the school’s established emergency procedures. It does not replace required emergency or life-safety systems.
Can configurations vary by campus, building, or room?
Yes. The school package includes all nine capabilities. Active alerts, thresholds, and recipients can be configured by sensor, or one configuration can be applied across multiple sensors.
